                                    Business Lunch


                 Sometimes, I am surprised during a “working lunch” how people
             literally stuff the food into their mouths while talking about important
             matters. They obviously do not take the time to help form saliva in the
             mouth to optimally digest the food. Now, while brainstorming, most
             of the blood goes to the brain. The parasympathetic part is subdued
             to give space to the sympathetic part so that the brain, ears, and eyes
             can function better.
                 People still wonder why the body keeps sending alarms, discomfort
             signals. It is a pity that this is never monitored and that these signals
             are mostly not heard.


                                         Sport


                 We know already that these two systems cannot really work together
             without causing discomfort in our body. How does this apply when
             we want to go play sports? When the Parasympathetic is busy, it is
             not wise to play sports because we know what negative consequences
             this can cause in our body.
                 Before we go running, for example, it is wise not to eat very much.
             It is best to take a good sugar source (dates, beetroot, raisins, bananas)
             so that the mitochondria in our muscles can easily build and use the
             energy. Good sugars have a wonderful function for this. They help
             to improve our mental functions and are also the main food for the
             muscle function.
