balance. Patients become very familiar with this philosophy and also
use it for their improvement.
I will try to explain the basis of this application and use of the
two Yin and Yang polarities as simply as possible. These polarities
form the basis of Oriental philosophy in daily life, in order to better
understand the functioning of the body and help it in its function
of restoring the lost balance. This is not only interesting but also fun
and you can be really amazed with the results.
As we have already seen, Yin and Yang form the basis of Eastern
philosophy and thought. According to this philosophy, everything on
our planet and its surroundings, with all its inhabitants, are based on
these two concepts or opposing forces that continually flow into each
other, combine and maintain each other in balance.
As an example, we can take sport. This is a Yang activity, with
such aspects as movement, heat, condensation of liquids and speed.
Then we have the Yin activity which is represented by rest, cooling,
fluid replacement. Always take into account the philosophy on these
concepts and their characteristics.
We also have types of Yin or Yang people, such as the Water element
person type or the Fire element person type.
These forces or concepts of Yin and Yang are inseparable and
relative. It is always said that something is Yin with respect to something
else. For example, we say that the Moon is Yin with respect to the Sun,
or that the Sun is Yang relative to the Moon. In our body, Yang is Fire
(heat, action), Yin is Water, (cold, freshness, humidity and fluidity),
which helps the Fire to stay balanced.
