            The Work of René Quinton

French researcher René Quinton, Bachelor of Science and
Literature, Biologist; famous for his “Theory of Thermal Constancy,”
carried out numerous studies and experiments with which he was finally
able to verify that due to its biochemical composition, blood can be
replaced with seawater, due to its similarity to the liquid around cells.
This supremely important theory of his work has had enormous
therapeutic, philosophical, and political repercussions both in France

and abroad. With his miraculous solution of the Sea of Isotonic water,
Quinton saved many lives, included those of many war wounded.
Quinton presented his studies to established French institutions
with outcomes that demonstrated why, due to its similar composition,
seawater could replace blood. The results of his experiments were truly
amazing. For example, he completely extracted the blood of animals,
immediately injecting them with only sea water in, for example, as
little as 11 minutes, in order to demonstrate in a short time that the
animals, after having re-created white blood cells (which survive in an
artificial medium with great difficulty) and red ones, had recovered
            surprisingly.
This project, called Experiences with the use of marine plasma as a
substitute for blood, was not given much attention. (2)
In 2003, a document, signed by the researchers, in which their
conclusions were again endorsed, was completely ignored. According
to assumptions in the magazine Salud, an explanation of these attitudes
would be attempts to protect those who deal in blood. (3)

            Positive Outcomes of Official Researches

Despite these attitudes, these treatments, based on Quinton’s
experiences, were used with remarkable success in hospitals and
nursing homes in Paris. Infectious gastroenteritis, syphilis, tuberculosis,
