Algae
When I am wrapped in a wet and green mass, with the smell of
the sea, I let myself be carried away by that sense of total relaxation,
that feeling of “letting go” of everything that no longer serves me and
allowing myself to receive all those nutrients and food that a seaweed
packaging is giving the body through the skin. I just love the feeling.
There is an effect that a seaweed wrap has around my body, covering
my skin completely up to my neck, and my body sticking to the table
where I am lying and the music that helps me to relax even more.
What a treat!
I have not done this very often, but when I do, I am again thankful
for this delicious moment.
Algae are single-cell plant microorganisms, inhabitants of seas
and lakes, of which there are more than 25,000 different classes that
have existed for more than 2.4 billion years. But algae are not just for
body treatments. We can benefit from algae when we include them in
our diet. Algae generally have a very high percentage of plant protein.
Algae have the peculiarity of transforming chemicals around them into
vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acids, and enzymes, etc. Algae
are a complete food source, containing around 50 or 60 nutrients.
My preferred algae are Chlorella and Spirulina.
Chlorella
Chlorella is one of my favorite algae. It has very special qualities.
The most important quality is that of being a food with alkaline
properties. Therefore, it does not cause acidity in the body but the
