The state of bodily fluids is also very important.
A number of characteristics correspond to each element; one
is Yin and the other Yang. Also considered are a quality, time, a
season, direction, an emotion, a part of the body, a color, flavor and
temperament, among others.
This means that when the element is out of balance, we can use
one or more of these qualities to help restore balance in a person.
Characteristics and Associations
of the Five Elements
Fire Element
When a person with the Fire element is in balance, he can be
recognized by his balanced openness and vulnerability. He is also
sensitive and warm. Emotions are expressed freely and spontaneously.
These are well processed. Conversely, when such a person is not in
balance, he is excessively emotional and vulnerable. There is instability.
Speech, tongue, blood vessels and face are affected by the heart.
