WHO ARE WE AND WHERE DO
WE COME FROM?
The Void
When talking about humankind, the creation, the beginning, we
often hear: “In the beginning there was nothing”.
The Oriental Ancient philosophies say that in the beginning was
the universe and this was not split. This is how they see the creation
of everything. It is not a religion but a philosophy, a way of thinking.
A very interesting one, in my opinion.
It was but “the Void.” There were no polarities. This void contained
the polarities in it, but they were not separated yet. There was no Yin
and Yang. There was no night or day. There was no evil or good. It was
only void. This void was not divided. This void was the universe, it was
all in one. It kept everything in it, but it was nothing, no movement,
no change, no space, no time.
There was neither silence nor balance, because there was nothing
to be quiet or to be in balance. There was definitely “nothing”. This
is beyond our comprehension.
