Here in Figure 2, we see for example that the organic functions
that basically regulate and control digestion are found in the morning
hours. The organic function of the lung precedes these, being one of
the bases from which this cycle begins.
Each Organic Function is represented by two hours on the clock.
The lung (from 3 to 5 in the morning) is followed by the Large
Intestine (from 5 to 7 in the morning), which together form the Metal
phase. Then follows The Stomach (from 7 to 9 in the morning), with
its consequent Organic Function Spleen-Pancreas (from 9 to 11) that
correspond together to the Earth element and so on.
Thus, the highest energy level of the organic function of the lung
is between 3 and 5 in the morning. This period of time is ideal for
performing, for example, breathing exercises such as Qi Gong, Tai
Chi, Yoga. At this time is also good to give massage with essential oils
that are good for the lung function or massaging pressure points to
recover the balance of this Organic function.
In the following hours the schedules of the elements involved in
the basic function of digestion govern (Large Intestine from 5 to 7 in
the morning, Stomach from 7 to 9 in the morning and Spleen-Pancreas
from 9 to 11 in the morning). Therefore, if our body is healthy and well
balanced, it is not surprising that the intestines will perform a good
discharge function during these hours. This function is generally to
be performed during this time. The body will also starts its digestive
function, since the hours of the Stomach and Spleen-Pancreas come
after the hours of the Large Intestine. I repeat, if we are in balance,
this will receive and regulate food intake. Consequently, the hours
in the morning are the perfect hours to feed ourselves and give us a
large part of the energy the body will require to start its working day.
The optimal ingestion would be at the beginning of the hours of the
Stomach. In a healthy body, the desire to eat food in this period of
time occurs automatically.
